You wonder why we're upset? A3 Site Upgrade Planned To Continue Despite "Head Shop" and  Shakers Strip Club proximity.  $2.6 million goes to upgrade the A3 site in one fell swoop. Timber Revenues are still undecided. Board member states the upgrades will be made to a building that "will transform what we already thought was a pretty cool-looking facility". Friends investigate ownership of nearby buildings... Possible new bond measure being formed to ask for even more money... Developing...

All funds are used to maintain website and office functions like copying and postage.  All work is done by nonpaid volunteers.

Last year less than $100 was used to gain over $70,000 in student program funding.

Is this a veiled attempt at using our money for Springfield Urban Renewal?  Citizens from part of Eugene and in the Springfield Urban Growth boundary have paid to support the schools -- should their money be used to help with the downtown revitalization efforts instead of curriculum development or book purchases or updating student safety systems in the schools?
